I do like the way you've got texture in this painting - somewhat 'easier' (no painting is ever easy) in oil than in some other media, but you have to know what you're doing to achieve it.

Thank you all for taking the time to look at my WIP, it did prove to be a bit of a challenge with that darned cottage, I somehow wished i'd left it out. Thank you Robert I used some small bits of mount board to create some of the grass and craggy lines in to the rocks and cliffs. Also some really small bits for the cottage stonework.

Your painting has a rugged appeal to it, Linda. I like the lost effect between the sky and the horizon.
