All your pictures are great Lewis.  Keep up the good work please.  And thank you for sharing re Bonusprint which is giving me some ideas!  I've just been on the bonusprint site and I did notice that XL layflats have been noted with a discount code to get 60% off until 18th Oct.  I didn't look any further but thought I'd mention it.
I've changed the title of this thread just in case people think it's about photos, it isn't, it's a way of having a record of your art in book form.  Between now and Christmas it's very much a work in progress. Yes Steve, they are always offering discounts throughout the year.  My book isn't finished yet.  At the moment the app is telling me my book will cost £60.99, I know they'll offer 60% reductions just before Christmas, so I'm aiming to finish this book by then.  The 60% offer will reduce the cost to £24.40 (plus postage), so I'm expecting my book to cost around £30, a very good way of keeping a record of your work (I can't possibly keep all the pictures I knock out, but I like to have a record.)  I'm having a hard-cover with illustrations on it, plus the 'lay-flat' option...if I didn't want those it would be cheaper still. I've done another of my 'blue drawings'.  I always like WIP threads, so I thought I'd say a little about the process.  Here's the first stage of my latest pic... It's in my A3 sketchbook reserved for blue drawings.  My favorite blue for these is actually Faber Castell Dark Indigo coloured pencil...in water-soluble and Polychromos(not water soluble) form.  I get through these at a rate of knots, and I'm out of them at the moment.  I'll be ordering more from Jacksons.  So for this I'm using Faber Castell 'helioblue reddish' and 'ivory' black', a combo not a million miles from the 'dark indigo.' In the drawing I started with very loose layout shapes with a faintly used HP pencil...no details, this is just to get everything in the right place.  Then I draw the shapes more accurately with a polychromos pencil (the non water-soluble type).  Then I blocked in the dark shadow behind the woman with watercolour.  I see no reason to waste my pencils on this. The next step is to get the shadows and details in, for this I use the water-soluble versions of the coloured pencils.  You'll see on the face where I just used the blue, blended with clean water on a brush, here and there I've already used a soluble black on top of the blue.  This stage is ALL water-soluble, I keep going until the whole pic is done. This is the finished picture, I've gone over it with polychromos versions of the blue and black, although I may add and blend the odd touch of water-soluble here and there.  The text and borders were put in with photoshop, because my hand written text is awful. So with the Ahab pic, I have another page for my art-book... I'll add any pictures I think worth including as I go along.
Great project Lew, exceptional material going into it!
Lewis. I went through the mill myself from 2010-16, so I empathise with you. Hoping your good lady feels better soon. Best of Luck Regards John.
Thank you Alan and John.  I guess I've said all that needs to be said on this subject.  I'll continue to add some pictures, make adjustments, cut some pictures out, and around Christmas I'll get the book printed.
