Looking good Dixie! Love the detail on the Tung Shan, the rigging (is that what it is?) looks particularly fun!
It's coming along well, Dixie.  I like the sense of business with all the small craft...just how I imagine it.
People...people , it’s not HK without people, lots of them.    Otherwise looking good.   I do hope your boiler is fixed .
Thank you all for your comments. The boiler was fixed by the engineer when he came at eleven at night , he was supposed to be with us before lunch . Lucky for us he was a very pleasant young man who said he would do it there and then despite British Gas say it would need to be done in the day at some point . So new pump fitted in the middle of the night it was great getting up to a warm house and hot water . Ah on with the painting later in a nice warm room .
Great to see your progress on this lovely scene Dixie, and 👍🏻For the boiler man!
Looking really good Paul.
Thank you Tessa and Malcolm. Not much more to do now , there were no people in the photos I used as I assume it was early morning, I am adding three figures in the small boats . When I first visited HK in the early 60s I was surprised at the amount of boats and all the scaffolding they used to secure them . I did feel sorry for the people living on them but was soon told by a lady who I worked with that she live on the boats and meany did through choice. Fire regulations were totally ignored and gas bottles were everywhere linked with very flimsy looking pipes . The
I think it about done but I will hold of putting in the gallery for a few  day in case I decide to make any changes or additions. Don’t want to do any much if anymore as it will look overcrowded and over worked .
