Hi there. This is a piece of my works named a lonely dog. I love dogs, they are our faithful friends. And the movie Hachiko: A Dog's Story touched me deeply. So I had the thought of challenging myself to use pastel chalks to finish this work. The frame is also drew by me. Hope you like it.

A lovely painting Eve. I too love dogs. Why not put this on the gallery for others to see.

Well this is beautiful Eve and worth waiting for. As Sylvia said, put it on the Gallery. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Frame is lovely too, is it ordinary wood moulding?

There is a lovely NZ book called Alveridgea & the Legend of the Lonely Dog, by artist Ivan Clarke and writer Stu Duval. Ivan created the fictitious country of Alveridgea and peopled it with dogs and cats - the hero is an orphan pup called Lonely Dog. I think the book might have been a limited edition, don't know if it is still available. I saw some of the original artwork a number of years ago, beautiful oil paintings of Alveridgea and its canine and feline inhabitants.
