Hello! I am a new member. I've recently given a friend a water soluble neopastel painting, she wants to hang it. I want to know if the painting needs to be treated before framing? Thank you for any advice in advance!

I think I would put it under glass with a mount so the glass is not in contact with the painting. As far as I know you cannot treat it with any “ finish” . As it’s water soluble any varnish would just smear it...I know I tried .
