I've just uploaded a new video to the Community Videos page about the making of this drawing. It is, as the title says in ink and Pitt Charcoal. I hope you enjoy the film and if you have any questions please do ask. Best, D.
Great video David I really enjoyed watching you create this drawing,
Should have said this before, feeling very remiss - a) I love to see drawings, b) this is a drawing that is well worth seeing.  I've been to the abbey, and this strikes me far more powerfully than so many romanticized views of it I've seen.  It has the strength of a John Piper drawing, even if I'm not a great fan of the 'drip' technique; but each to their own.
Glad you like it Robert - Another drawing video and more 'drips' to come I'm afraid!
I know the place, it's about 40 miles away, it's a good drawing.
Impressive.
