Hello everyone My name is Phil, I am an artist that specialises in portraiture using mainly graphite, charcoal or oil paint. I have been registered on here for quite a while but have never posted anything up until recently. I have been doing artwork professionally for around two years mostly dealing with local private commissions. Will sometimes experiment with other subject matters and styles, currently in love with art nouveau and illustrations by the likes of Caitlin Hackett, Richey Beckett and Marco Mazzoni. But still have that strong connection to the old masters like Rembrandt, Titian, Velazquez, etc. I look forward to getting involved as much as I can on here, whether it's critiques, finding out new information. I have a blog i want to write on Gamblin products, that I have recently started using and also looking for info on brushes, since I buy so many of them. Also looking to get involved in some competitions if the subject intrigues me.
Welcome to the forum Phil where advice and information is given freely and a bit of light banter is sometimes happily exchanged!
Welcome Phil.
And welcome from me too Phil
Welcome aboard, look forward to hearing more from you. Have you tried brushes from Rosemary & Co., I find them pretty good and reasonably priced.

Welcome Phil x
hi everyone my name is Aaron I am 38 years old and only just registered . I must be honest I can not really call myself an ARTIST . lets just say I am an apprentiartist! I don't think I am at that level of artist ! but I have recently found the enjoyment of painting and I could have a canvass sitting for months and ideas just come straight from the mind . no planning just let it go. mostly abstract . I love landscapes . i just enjoy it it for me is a great stress relief. and envy the artists who can paint or draw portraits
