A collection of 50 new watercolours from Kaye Parmenter on display at the A2 Gallery in Wells. 11 are being auctioned in support of the Charity "Help for Heroes" and the remaining paintings are on sale at the gallery, and represent a complete celebration of watercolour and the freedom to paint. Kaye is an award-winning Somerset artist. Following attending a Help for Heroes charity event, she was moved and inspired to try and help the charity within her capacity as a watercolour artist. Whilst painting the collection, she viewed the “Wounded” program on BBC1 and found a heightened level of emotion that she hopes comes through in the paintings. The process has been a totally moving experience and the works embrace hope, valour, courage and friendship. Artist Comment: “I celebrate that I have the freedom to paint – thinking of our very brave soldiers today and tomorrow.”
