Topics to be covered: Quick poses, how to find the essence of the pose – 1-3 minutes each. Ten and twenty minute poses – beginning to take the pose further. The model will then be set up for a long pose (3 hours), students may chose to a) draw or paint that pose for the whole of the time left, b) may wish to tackle the same pose in a variety of media eg pencil, charcoal, pastel, paint or torn paper collage for example. c) may wish to move around the room to see the model from different viewpoints splitting the time left as they wish. 4. There will be some discussion of anatomy and the figure as portrayed by different artists during the model’s breaks and at lunch time.
