Film Screening: Pilgrimage from Scattered Points by Luke Fowler

Join us for the screening of the film, Pilgrimage from Scattered Points, UK, 2006, by the artist Luke Fowler at Morley College London.

Pilgrimage From Scattered Points is a film about the English composer Cornelius Cardew and his avant-garde Scratch Orchestra which celebrated the notion that anyone can play music. It documents the, 'internal contradictions and struggles of The Scratch Orchestra... through interviews, recent and archival footage and predominantly unreleased music". The Scratch Orchestra grew and developed at Morley, originating from Cardew's course in experimental music which begun at the College in 1968. This special screening will take place in the Holst Room, the venue of Cardew's classes. Luke Fowler (born 1978) is an artist, filmmaker, and musician based in Glasgow. Fowler was awarded the inaugural Derek Jarman Award in 2008 and he was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 2012.
