En Plein Air Painting Competition

En Plein Air Painting Competition

Guernsey's annual En Plein Air Painting Competition organised by Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club

This year's competition will take place on the beautiful Jerbourg Peninsula on the South East Coast of the island.

With it's outstanding views (on a clear day you can see all the islands of the Bailiwick of Guernsey as well as Jersey and France) artists will have the opportunity to walk in Renoir's footsteps and if they so wish to give their interpretation of his iconic paintings of views such as the Pea Stacks and Moulin Huet.

Artists will have all day on Saturday 18th June to paint or craft (entries may be in any medium) and after the judging (which will be undertaken this year by David Ummels and Helen Bonner-Morgan from 'Art for Guernsey') all the entries will be on display in an exhibition for a few days following the competition.

All artists of any ability are welcome to join in and this year there will also be a junior section.

More information regarding entry fees, terms & conditions and prizes etc will be available nearer the time but if you would like to register your interest please contact Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club at [email protected]
