Drawing Workshop with Claire Harrison

Drawing Workshop with Claire Harrison

As part of this year's Big Draw (this page opens in a new window), artist Claire Harrison will cover in this day workshop not only the core traditional drawing skills such as observation, tone, and line, but will also introduce you into different types of drawing. This workshop will give you a taster into drawing techniques and explore the 'theme of what is drawing and it's purpose?' Claire will share her knowledge of drawing techniques using pen, ink, pastel, pencil and charcoal in both traditional and contemporary themes. The course will also include drawing in 3D and constructing a design in 2D, perspective, observational skills, constructing a picture and how to use each medium. Each student will be able to work on a subject which they are interested in, whether it is still life, landscape, people or interiors because Claire concentrates on developing each individuals goals and interests. Therefore this course is suitable for all abilities.

Price includes all materials. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron. There will be a 45 minute break for lunch (not included).
