Les Darlow is a professional artist who specialises in pastel and has a passion for painting free and expressive skies and landscapes. On Saturday, November 8, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, Les will discuss and demonstrate the qualities of the various pastel papers provided and he will show you how to paint big skies and water reflections to add atmosphere and mood to your paintings.

Canson will provide each participant with a new 30-sheet Mi-Teintes 160gsm 12.6x16in. Pad in grey tones, and one new 30-sheet Mi-Teintes 160gsm 12.6x16in. Pad in earth tones, each containing six sheets of the five most popular colours in each tone, plus a 12-sheet Mi-Teintes Touch 350gsm 9.4x12.6in. Pad containing two sheets of the six most popular colours of the range and one new 16-sheet Mi-Teintes 160gsm 9.4x12.6in. White Spiral Pad. The total value of the papers is worth over £70(rrp).

ART MATERIALS LIVE brings together artists and art materials within the popular Hobbycrafts event, organised by ICHF, where you will discover a wide variety of arts and crafts and over 250 exhibitors, demonstrating painting, card making, glass painting, cross stitching, stencilling and stamping. Within the Art Materials Live show you will see new products, the latest art techniques, and enjoy hands-on opportunities. The show, held at the NEC in Birmingham, will run from Thursday to Sunday, November 6 to 9.
