This is a non selected exhibition. A feature of the AAA Autumn Exhibition is that we encourage our artists to exhibit some of their non animal artwork....just to show how versatile and creative our artists are! All three charities that we have worked with this year will be at the ‘AAA Art Rendezvous!’ on Sunday 3rd October (11 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.) at The Galleries at Samlesbury Hall to talk about the work that they do, to meet the public and to (hopefully) sell the cards and calendar that they have produced from AAA artwork. The three charities are: Lancashire Constabulary Retired Police Horse Benevolent Fund, Lancashire Retired Police Dog Benevolent Fund & the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund. The ‘AAA Art Rendezvous!’ is held during the four week long AAA Autumn Art Exhibition at Samlesbury Hall and is a one day event to showcase art – here in the North West. It is a unique event and something that we hope to build on each year to encourage aspiring artists to get involved with art and to show the skills of a number of superb artists based up here in the North West! Some artists will give demonstrations throughout the day, others will just be there to talk about art. There will be a few ‘art related’ invited guests to talk about art techniques, art materials, framing and mounting work for exhibition etc, and some artists will work from life. The LRPHBF is arranging to bring along a retired police horse and some artists will work from life, either drawing or painting this horse. The artwork will probably not be finished on the day but will be on show at the following AAA exhibition in Spring 2011. There is free entry to Samlesbury Hall Galleries when visiting the Hall, but an entry fee to look around the rest of the Hall. Samlesbury Hall is closed on Saturdays. To take part in this NON SELECTED art exhibition you must be a member of Association of Animal Artists.
