This collection is inspired by the tragic early deaths of a number of musicians , mainly in the rock genre .Each painting is a portrait of one of these musicians - Amy Winehouse , Jimi Hendrix , Jim Morrison , Kurt Cobain , Janis Joplin and R obert Johnson. These are contemporary pieces , created in a bold style and capturing , I believe , an essence of the character of each subject.
