Wildflowers at Woodland Edge
Loose painting in layers of acrylic. Trying to take the viewer thru the trees and into the wood and also it was important to me to not have an oblong block of woodland above an oblong block of wild flowers, but, to merge everything into one experience or feeling...
I was delighted that this painting was chosen by Tony Jackson for the 1st prize award when he critiqued our exhibition last evening for Hitchin Art Club members. Amazed too to receive the Art Club shield for my work. Makes it all worth the struggles we go thru!
