Thanks for Alan and Peter's comments on my blog. Yes I am in the U3A and paint with them, in a very small mixed media group. They seem reluctant to go outside to paint. That is the trouble the group is small and can only accommodate a few members, so you need some more people to start other groups and someone lead/motivate them. So in order to be in a bigger more structured group I have had to join a bigger group a few miles away outside of the U3A. I am starting a U3A drawing group just to go and meet for an afternoon in someones house to practice drawing. If it starts to get bigger I will have to hire the village hall. Yeah I enjoy the biscuits and tea plus an amazing amount of gossip, interspersed with the silence of concentration. I am learning quite a lot of new things. Off tonight again we are doing a still life.
