Steve Messam
Going along my beloved river, I happened upon Steve Messam's Clad. I've often passed by this ruined outbuilding, so I was really surprised to see it all done up like a black n white timber building except the white is Kerry Hill sheep wool and the black timbers come from Black mountain sheep ( their wool too). It's cold winter here now, but I actually felt warmer standing next to this wool, couldn't take my eyes off it and wanted to stroke it. I can feel a bout of building hugging coming on! :)
PS With Clad, Steve Messam's paying tribute to the flannel trade that helped to build the town, so is an integral part of local history
