Attended my painting group meeting yesterday. We have another small exibition coming up at the local library and there were bits and bobs to discuss. Lots of people still on holiday so only four of us there. The main point of contention was prices again. I am getting a lot of flak because I adhere to Robert Genn's advice to start off cheaply. In fact one lady who seems to think she is the "president" of the club suggested I must put my prices up to her rates or leave! I will not give her that satisfaction but I really would like to know if there is any sort of formula out there for pricing amateur art? Surely it is an absolute no no to price according to hours put in as was also suggested. Would be very greatful for some advice here. On a more happy note Leisure Painter have accepted my painting for "Simply the Best" in Nov.
