These are the first blogs I have ever seen, being very new to computers, and I am not very sure of the ground and etiquette.
I'm pretty ancient, and a very average watercolourist from west Wales, which I began after retirement. I'm also a treasurer of a local art society, being rather better with numbers than figures ! This is a wonderful way to meet local artists and see their exhibits, but it does tend to put your own work into perspective. You wonder how on earth you can ever be that accomplished.
With regard to computers my knowledge couldn't be sketchier. How on earth does one put a picture on a web page? As yet I haven't even managed to put one into my computer. Sometimes there are younger family members who are only too willing to advise and teach, but my son doesn't live locally - he tends to spend much of his time on a battleship which isn't all that handy for advice!
However, I have made my first steps by joining Painters-online and had a wonderful afternoon travelling in ever decreasing circles on your web pages, trying to get back to where I thought I was ten minutes back, and taking all those great paintings in on the dizzy way. I am very impressed with the works exhibited. Now - could someone please tell me which is the way out?
