Cracking Start to my Artistic Life.
Cracking Start to my Artistic Life.
At school came my first high flying venture into art. I did a detailed painting of a Grey Squirrel. The painting was chosen to be sent to London for an exhibition. I was told The Queen no less complemented on my effort. I never did get to know what Elizabeth said about it exactly. I will write her, jog here memory. Where the painting is now I have no idea. It could be in her collection. She has all the other masterpieces, so why not.
After that high moment it was all down hill for my art for the next 15 years. Mind you there was one or two little bright glimmers. Like the time I sat and painted the cat blue. She did not mind at all. Just sat still and purred as I dabbed the bright blue paint on. Great art like that today would be worth big buttons and would scoop the Tuners Prize for sure. Yet on the other hand I might have got collard by the RSPCA.
I will be back with more Life from the Easel. Mean while imagine you are watching the end credits and listening to the theme music from the Magic Roundabout.
Lets get go-in.
