Most of my plans for solid working over the Christmas break went almost out of the window.... sigh... did some research and some work on my project for a day... managed to get out in the garden (narrowly avoiding frostbite!) to stone carve for one day, but that was all. I'm very disappointed with myself. However, I'm not going to dwell on that. Its a new year, and I've thrown myself back into it all at full speed. It was our first day back at University on Tuesday, so I took the opportunity to immerse myself in books (wrapped in coat, scarf, gloves - there'd been a burst pipe the day before and the heating had broken!) and my project. Also catching up and discussing ideas with my peers was invaluable - now I'm really motivated! Went out and treated myself a beanbag chair to put in my 'studio' at home, which means I can read/work in comfort upstairs, away from distractions. I'm drawing quite a lot at the moment. I know as artists it's what we're meant to do, but I've neglected it for far too long. I've booked the animation room next week for the day, so hope to do something with this for my project. I've never tried it before, so it could be an interesting experience or a complete disaster, but unless I try I'll never know!
