This year we have decided to honour the work of UK art clubs by launching our very first Art Club of the Year competition. We invite art groups, clubs and societies from across the UK to submit 5 selected works from among their members to represent their group, for the chance to win vouchers from Jackson’s Art Supplies, to spend on art materials for the club’s use, an exhibition at this years’ Patchings Art, Craft & Photography Festival in June, a feature in Leisure Painter and The Artist, a visit from one of our contributing artists, plus the title Art Club of the Year 2016. One member of your group will need to register (or login if already a member of POL) to enter all of the five selected works and provide a club profile to accompany your entry. Judges will be Hazel Soan (artist and tutor), Liz Wood (artist and co-owner of Patchings Art Centre), Sally Bulgin (editor of The Artist and Ingrid Lyon (editor of Leisure Painter). You have until March 24 to enter – so get your club motivated to join in the fun and see if you could earn the title Art Club of the Year 2016
