Andrew's Blog

My art etc.

Hi there, my name is andrew john williams and I come from Wakefield in West Yorkshire. I have been painting now for over twenty years in various styles. In the past few years I have been painting abstract artworks mainly in acrylics in an action style throwing splattering and daubing, thoroughly enjoying this way of working with the paint. My paintings are mainly on loose canvas unframed, I roll them up and post them in a postal tube if anyone wants to buy them, thus leaving the framing style up to the client. I have compiled a book of my artwork over the past fifteen years available on blurb here :- http://www.blurb.co.uk/bookstore/detail/3407868?pid=New the book is a beautiful artwork in itself containing over eighty of my artworks over the years, well worth the money and an inspiring visual book for up and coming artists. I love art and continue to produce work always being creative, it's a compulsion for me to produce my best work ever. Thanks for reading this mini blog, if there are any questions you'd like to ask me feel free my email is :- [email protected], all the best, andy.

Although I can't see your sketch very wel but after having been out to a barbecue today and it's now 1.30am it looks good to me...well here in good old WA I actually saw the National...used to work up that way...I'm beginning to think that perspective is a man thing I really struggle with it too...your day sounded great so the weather must be on the way to summer to be able to have a picnic...I remember one year having a blizzard on my birthday in April

Sadly can not see the pic terribly well so I cannot comment on the state of the trees. I managed to miss the National as I got into a painting, and my daft husband fell asleep in front of the box. Didnt even get fourth this year. Usually everyone in the family including the dog, cat and gold fish have bet so we usually manage something. I entirely agree about booze and painting it improves it enormously, or at least I like to think so at the time. Some of my best sketche were done with a bottle of wine and a steel pan band. I drew and drew more and more feverishly the faster the music got. Should be compulsory for all arty types.
