oh well, got to the semi-final of the National Art Competition, then rejected at the last post! Rejected for Royal Scottish Academy Open in Edinburgh. Now I have to get back up to Edinburgh from here in Yorkshire to pick up the painting. Hard chips eh? Nevertheless on the positive front -- two out of three selected for Doncaster Open and one at Haworth Open -- all fairly near at hand. Think I'll give up submissions for a while -- too expensive, too much travel, and can put me on a downer if I get too many rejections . . . Must keep positive and keep painting, following my heart not my head.
