200,000 day-trippers

Today, as predicted, it was 27°C at the Belgian coast. On the news this evening, they told there were 200,000 people arriving at the coast BY TRAIN, not counting those coming by car!!! As you can see on the picture of our main street (Kerkstraat = Church Street), you could "walk on the heads", as we say overhere. So most of them went strait to the beach. I had about 68 visitors and a few of them bought some cards, not being able to take a painting on the train in the evening. I was not expecting too much (because of the hot weather) but from tomorrow on, the temperature will drop slowly and the real holiday-people, staying for 1 or 2 weeks, will come in. Already some of our friends came in but most of them avoid the city centre because of all the tourists! Thank you all so very much for your good wishes and for selecting me in the 10 most viewed Blogs (2 of them in one month!). I really do appreciate your friendship and kindness. I will try to put in some pictures of the exhibition, but for you to be able to enlarge them, maybe I have to use the gallery. I also will try to find a nice picture of the "Old Town Hall" and post it in the "Copyright Free Gallery".
