I've been busy since getting back from Yorkshire - mounting, framing, labelling, etc. ready for an exhibition with the Kennet Valley Artists this coming weekend 2nd/3rd November at Pamber Heath Village Hall, Tadley. I've been with the KVA now for almost ten years. We are just a group of seven artists who get together once or twice a year to share the costs of an exhibition and also raise money for local charities at the same time. Then the next weekend I shall be at a two-day workshop run by the Tadley and Baughurst Art Club, again in Tadley at the Ambrose Allen Centre in Franklin Avenue. I was a founder member of that 27 years ago and we are still going strong. We hope that the workshop, at which several of our very talented members are giving demonstrations, will help to boost our membership. Last time we ran one it attracted quite a bit of interest from local people. Just looking forward to a whole weekend with nothing to do but paint!
