John Britton

Biography

John is a landscape painter. He took A level Art in his free periods at school and painted intermittently throughout a working life as a software developer. Lockdown kickstarted a new set of paintings. The painting of Whitehaven Harbour selected for TALP 2021 exhibition was a commission for a friend who had recently moved there. The painting of Clifton Suspension Bridge selected for TALP 2022 online exhibition was for a daughter who lives nearby. The profile painting of Chalk Mountain (aka Box Hill) was a commission from another old school friend. The painting of Winter Hill was for the other daughter and Highly Commended for TALP 2023 online exhibition. The picture of Snowdon Horseshoe was selected for exhibition at the 2024 Manchester Open Art Fair and has been sold. Happy to supply digital prints of those pictures I have hi-res photography of.
