Biography

While I’ve scribbled and doodled all my life, I only started painting about 10 years ago. My joke had always been that I wanted to retire in Italy, buy a one bedroom villa close to a hotel (so the kids could visit), paint all day, and drink wine in the evenings while talking politics with the old folks in a cafe. My wife found an amazing artist who studied in Florence who taught me to mix and blend my oils. I was hooked. It takes me a long time to complete a painting because I don’t have the time I would like to paint, but I always manage to steal a few hours for myself. It’s a release to put what I see on canvas. I’m glad my wife called my bluff hooked me up with a wonderful teacher!
