Wendy Fraser

Biography

After a very eclectic career in many different countries covering a wide variety of things such as schooling polo ponies in France and Argentina, teaching typing in New York, tour guiding in Italy, designing and making soft furnishings, becoming a very mature university student obtaining two degrees and finally lecturing at university, I retired and started painting and drawing. Mostly self-taught I've attended several short courses and my most influential tutors have been Mike Sibley (drawing), Laura Thompson (still life in oils), Dermot Cavanagh and Joe Dowden (water colours). Each time I pick up a brush or pencil I learn something new. I've recently purchased shares in a few racehorses and my current projects are paintings/drawings of them.
