Biography
I'm an amateur artist. I have drawn all my life - used to be mainly portraits but now a wider range. Did a lot of portrait/figure drawing at classes for a while in the 1990s then had a break from doing much at all until a couple of years ago, since when I've gone back to classes and workshops run by Claudia Petretti (mostly general art classes this time) and am trying to get to grips with watercolour (with mixed success!). At present I'm mostly doing small wash and pen sketches - do need to get back into doing proper paintings! Have gone back to using fine-nibbed pens which I used to use many years ago after years of using charcoal etc. Have a wide interest in wildlife and nature so increasingly (trying) to paint/draw them.
