Biography

At school Art was my favourite subject and I would have liked to have attended art college having been encouraged by my art master to do so. However, at the time family commitments made this impossible. And secretly I wanted to be a Rock Star!! It wasn’t until the mid 70’s when my wife and I moved to Richmond, Surrey that I rediscovered an interest in painting, largely due to the beautiful landscapes around us. But by the late 80’s I had hung up my brushes again to concentrate on my work in the Paper Industry. Having retired early we moved to Leatherhead and met so many people involved with art in one form or another and we were also surrounded by art clubs - Leatherhead, Dorking, Epsom and Ashtead, to name just a few. I paint and draw primarily in Acrylic and Pastel, but also dabble in Watercolour, Oil and Oil Pastels when the mood takes me.
