I am a figurative artist who enjoys portraying people and figures in a different way. Years have been spent absorbing and studying all kinds of art through reading, viewing and examining works and techniques both on-line and more pleasingly, at Galleries. I especially appreciated the hugely exciting Abstract Expressionism exhibition at the Royal Academy last year, and the George Bellows one, also at the Royal Academy, a few years ago. I paint in oils and watercolours, and draw in charcoal, pencil and ink, and have developed my technique creating monotypes. I am especially drawn to characterful faces and dancers for my subject matter.

My solo show at Spout Yard Gallery, Louth, LN11 0LW, starting 1-4pm on Saturday 18 November. For this exhibition I have concentrated on facial character and dance movement and have developed an exciting range of original monotypes depicting modern, folk and classical dance. The exhibition’s last day is 8 December and the gallery is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11-4pm.
