Biography

I started to paint after a car accident left me unable to play sports. In fact it was some of the girls from my football team that gave me my first set of watercolour paints. That started my interest in watercolour painting. I am mainly self taught, learning from books and magazines. I subscribed to both The Artist and Leisure Painter. I have tried other mediums including water mixable oils and pastels but I have returned to watercolours. I love the immediacy of them and their translucency. In recent years I have attended workshops with Grahame Boothe and John Hoar.
