Biography

Since retiring from a career in education and training management, I returned to art after a gap of 40 years. Now I travel was much as I can with my husband and take an enormous amount of photographs, some of which I use as reference photos. Meanwhile, I take a weekly course in portraiture and life painting. I use watercolour, acrylic and oil as well as pastel and coloured pencil. I like to paint wildlife in all its shapes and sizes, but am also drawn to wilderness, people and water. I do not try over hard to sell my work, but when I do the money goes to charity connected to human or animal welfare.
