Returning to oil painting after a career in art education and art software development, I have become fascinated by the ubiquity of photographic 'reality'. My work often starts with a snapshot or series of photos – casual and disposable images which, nevertheless, suggest something deeper. Using digital image editing, montage and direct observation to develop my idea, the final painting is rendered in oils, hopefully producing something more fully realised.
Giclee printed reproductions of my work on archive-quality paper are available. Contact me for details.
