Hi! I’m 42 and live in Tamworth with my husband. Since I was a little girl I have loved doodling, drawing and painting. I remember getting my first proper Crayola set when I was three (wax crayon is still one of my favourite smells!)
Art is my hobby. I work full-time in Electronic Engineering, which may sound like the complete opposite, but I think they both allow me to be creative and detailed. I love detail!
I picked Art back up again in 2005 by joining a local art group, where I discovered acrylics, mark-making and eventually got the hang of watercolours! I mainly do landscapes with buildings or other objects of interest in them, usually of places that mean something to me. My favourite style is mark-making, I find it very therapeutic.
In 2018 I sold my first picture as a limited edition print and set up a Facebook page called “Art O’Clock by Julie Perry”, which was very exciting.
