It appears that in this blog feature i can upload only one image per entry. Therefore I will have to make this in four parts. So that you can best see the difference, picture four is the before and after. Much, much better I think you’d have to agree. For uploading of images to online galleries (and submissions to exhibitions), I would say that this is all you need to do; crop and Levels. There are of course many other more sophisticated adjustments possible, such as removing colour casts but that’s for another time perhaps.
