2015 has been quite a busy year for art exhibitions for me. Also being a member of three local art groups has meant that I have spent alot of time preparing paintings for club shows. This has not always been easy as I have a 2 year old daughter. In addition to this I have also had success selling paintings online and now have my paintings in three online art galleries. I have also recently started a facebook page. As always I like to produce my small watercolours, often painted in one sitting outside. I am planning a few visits to the coast to do some painting in the next couple of months. My interest in using mixed media - watercolour and collage is continuing and I am working on a mixed media painting of my allotments. In 2016 I want to get outside as much as possible to paint but I want to continue to try and experiment with watercolour and collage. I also want to use the sketches I produced in Tunisia in the summer to create some finished paintings which I will try and post on this site later. I have recently posted 'Canada Goose on this site. This is a very recent large pastel painting. I have not done any pastel birds like this for quite a few years but I would certainly like to do more pastel work this year. I am planning a pastel painting of the Tunis medina, Tunisia. I will post some of my successful paintings on this site in the forthcoming year.
