Having been brought up in a rural part of Somerset has influenced my work strongly and often my paintings are focused on this part of the city, the parks, the river and open spaces. I like the accessibility of these areas and try to re-create something of their tranquillity and beauty in my paintings.
My favourite medium is watercolour, but I also use acrylics, pastels and most recently mixed media - watercolour and collage. I like watercolour because of its subtlety for my landscapes which I often paint directly on site. For my bird paintings I use extensive sketches and often combine pastel and watercolour because of the strength of colour and immediacy it lends to the subject.
Born in 1971 I was brought up in Somerset but now live in Salisbury, Wiltshire. I exhibit my work in exhibitions in and around Salisbury and in online galleries. As well as local exhibitions I have also exhibited at the Bath and West of England Show and the Chelsea Art Society open exhibition. I have had solo exhibitions of my work at Wimbledon Open studios as well as at St Ann's church, Kingston hill and the Cornerhouse, Tolworth. In addition to this I have most recently had a solo exhibition of my work at The Press Room coffee shop in Surbiton. Some of my work has been published in The Leisure Painter magazine. I am also willing to accept commissions. My paintings are for sale and can be seen in the following online art galleries:

I also have a facebook page and am a member of Surrey Artists Network.
