Urban and street artists exhibit work in London

Around 20 acclaimed urban and street artists from around the world are to exhibit their artworks in support of peace-building charity International Alert’s #ART4PEACE campaign at The Old Truman Brewery in London from 4 - 20 September.

Around 20 acclaimed urban and street artists from around the world are to exhibit their artworks in support of peacebuilding charity International Alert’s #ART4PEACE campaign at The Old Truman Brewery in London from 4 - 20 September.

The show will be titled 'Peace from the Street Up!' and will feature work inspired by the theme of ‘peace in our cities’. The artists, some of whom come from conflict-affected regions, will reflect on opportunities for peaceful change in an increasingly urbanised world.

The line-up of top UK and international talent includes: Ben Turnbull, Clet Abraham, Dan Kitchener, David Scheinmann, David Whittaker, Ganzeer, Goldie, Inkie, Kashink, K-Guy, Know Hope, Olek, Otto Schade, Sadhu X, Shraddha Shrestha, Sten Lex, Tammam Azzam, Victor Ash, War Boutique, Yola and more.

A street artist will also complete a live mural painting on Saturday 19 September to accompany the exhibition.

After the exhibition, a preview online auction will go live on Monday 21 September (UN International Peace Day) and will be open to bidders worldwide. The campaign will conclude with a public auction on Friday 2 October at The Club at The Ivy Club, in London’s West End.
