Art Auction in Aid of MND Association

Posting for TB23 . He is on a mobile and cannot post here . This is also on the forum.

As per TB23's post on the forum.

As many of you know I have been on and off this site for many years now and have regularly contributed in the past. What many of you do not know is that early last year my younger brother was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, a terminal progressive illness that is currently stripping him of his ability to walk and use his hands. MND is more common in people over the age of 50 (my brother is 25 now, he was 24 when diagnosed) and there is no known cause or cure, the only medication available may increase life expectancy by a matter of months. Average life expectancy is between 1-5 years from the first symptoms. As you can imagine to receive a diagnosis like that is soul destroying, he is doing his best trying to keep a positive outlook knowing that in 6 months he may not be here. The MND association and others are helping to support me and our family and that's where this post comes in, I would like if possible to get together as many bits of art as possible to sell at a charity auction with all funds raised going directly to the MND association. At the moment I just want to see what interest there would be before approaching an official at the organisation who could then take over the entire process to ensure that nothing dodgy happens as I would probably be skeptical about giving a piece of art away to someone. I hope that some of you out there would be willing to donate something, even if it's just the old work that has been sat on that shelf for ages. I think between 30-50 varied pieces would be ideal and of course the artist/leisure painter magazines could be invited along to any auction to write an article about it. Thank you all in advance, I of course will be the first to pledge towards the pieces of art for the auction. I have a couple of drawings that will be perfect. Also anyone with framing or other experience would be welcome to contribute to organising this idea.
