Gallery - Acrylic - GILL COX

GILL COX - Acrylic

At the end of the day there is something very comforting about men sitting on a bench watching the sun going down. A time for reflection or a chat. I have called this painting BAYWATCH. After the initial rough sketch, before I had lost the light, I made a few notes about effect of light falling on certain areas. Early the next morning, I was at the easel doing a limited drawing with a white ball pen on to the black canvas, before using my three acrylic colours to complete the painting. The actual painting time took about 30 mins. Simplicity is the key..
