Gallery -   - Sparrow in Crofthouse Window

Sparrow in Crofthouse Window -

There are plenty of seabirds and waders on the Outer Hebrides and Crofthouses, full of cobbly stonework. I painted a house sparrow inside this window, it is broken china and a glass bottle and string in the window with it.

Lovely composition and colours. I think I like this one best of the three. Is this pastel or acrylic?

Lovely stonework painting. Like the bird too. Good luck with the competition.

I like all three of your paintings, I love the stonework on this though, it's so well done.

Can't decide on a favourite; probably the pebbles for the colours but I love this one because of the detail in the stonework and the little sparrow which is becoming so rare.

I too love them all, it's such a different take on painting birds ... you have to look for them which makes you appreciate them all the more, and so much work has gone into the detail in the surroundings.
