  • Nicely done, Marjorie. The little boat really helps to make this a wonderful image.

  • So glad you had the opportunity to do some painting whilst in Galloway Marjorie....I hope you had a wonderful time, it's a beautiful corner of Scotland. How far did you explore the spring fling? You may have passed by where I live, I had 'open studio' over the weekend.
This is a beauty, with the boat perfectly positioned.

  • That's so full of life Marjorie. I admire you working from an easel And I hope I'll have the confidence to do that one day. I love the hills I the background.

  • Thanks Michael and Wib - one of the most relaxing hols....the weather was exceptional.
Thanks Fiona and Dennis - the 'Spring Fling' is inspiring, the drive between the artists' studios is itself very beautiful - I bought a painting!
Diana and Adele, you just have to go for it. Beautiful weather does help and you definitely look at things in a different way.
Carole, Thankyou, the light on the island was attracting me, the sun kept hitting patches then the cloud rolled over - remembering it now, I wish I was there again, the temperature here is about 8 degrees lower.
Funny you should mention caravans Peter...we were in our little one which we bought only 2 years ago (better late than never!) so that I could paint without the other distractions and my husband could cycle around.
And thankyou Henry for your kind comment.
