This topic has no doubt been discussed before but I can't find it on the forum.
What's the best way to sign an oil painting? The obvious answer is probably using a fine brush and thinned oil paint but I do find that method difficult to control.
Are there markers available these days? Any advice welcome.

Hi John,
I use oils and normally sign if I do, with a very fine brush when the rest of the painting is dry. Not everyone seems to sign these days. I did recently watch a dvd of Pete The Street (Brown) and he signed on a wet area or paint using the handle end of the brush which looked quite neat.

I've removed both comments, but not (yet) banned the member. I'm afraid he knows quite well that commercial promotion shouldn't be permitted here, otherwise he wouldn't have embedded links. However, on the basis of first offence one more chance, I'll content myself with remarking that if you want to advertise your wares - if yours is a fully-fledged commercial website, rather than your having an individual item for sale - then you should support this site by PAYING for your advertising.
