when I opened this months THE ARTIST I saw the rose done by Julia Trickey and my first instinct was to have a go. I took a copy and then using a light box traced the outline onto A4 and filled in with graphite and was pleased with the end result. my husband said you will have to do another in colour (eeekk!!). I traced the outline from the magazine and then trace down onto A3. which was slightly easier to follow, I chickened out of watercolour paint and used coloured pencil instead. IT IS COMPLICATED but I am enjoying myself, at least I can rub the mistakes out....
