It's not an inappropriate question, just hard to answer.
I'm no authority on showing in London galleries - I do know they're hard to get into, and I hear few of them are looking for new work, but that's hearsay. Perhaps get a portfolio together to show what you can do, and preferably make an appointment to see the owner/manager, or email it to them: but I would imagine they get hundreds of emails from hopeful artists, and probably read only a small proportion of them.
You might want to try starting with smaller, provincial galleries, and making a name for yourself there first?

A quick google search will bring up loads of galleries, Olga. Then you'll need to go and meet them. Take your best material, accept that you might need to talk to a lot of them, and do make sure you can cope with rejection.
However - there are three galleries along the high street where we go for tea and cake after the supermarket experience on a Saturday. The first is up the top of the hill away from the shops and I've never seen anyone in there. The second one is quite famous (apparently) and has been there for years, but it's hidden away behind a road behind the church behind the shops and if you don't know where it is you'll never find the signpost telling you which way to go. The third is new (opened this year opposite the big pub) and is trying to flog stuff that looks like strawberry jam scraped onto an A0-size ceramic wall tile.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
