Elizabeth Turner Norwich, United Kingdom

Born 1955 in Colchester. I graduated from Norwich School of Art in 1978 and am in my forth decade as an artist. I started my career as a book illustrator and have worked for many leading publishers. I held my first solo exhibition of equestrian paintings at the Digby Gallery in Colchester in 1981. This was an exhibition of watercolours but I started painting the landscape and animals in oils, working outside whenever possible. In 1986 I was offered my first London exhibition at the Arthur Ackermann Gallery in Bond Street. Exhibiting my work at Ackermanns gave me contact with many international clients and I have paintings in collections in the UK, Spain, Germany, America and Australia. I live in Norfolk, a landscape which gives me an endless source of inspiration and there is nothing I enjoy more than heading out in all seasons to paint plein air. I accept commissions and always have work for sale. I can be contacted at
