Biography
I am from the State of New Jersey, USA, and from 1996 have lived in Sweden 27 years with my husband Anders. I am mainly a self-taught artist - meaning I have read books, magazines and learned from other artists. I also completed a semester at a Masters Art school in Stockholm. I want to capture on canvas the simplicity, dignity, purity and colors of our world. My favorite subjects are: acts of nurturing; dance; florals; still life. I changed from oils to watercolor in 1994. I also love acrylics, and have worked with both pastel and color pencils. I have had about 20 one-woman shows in Stockholm, most recently in December, 2023. My work has been sold in two Stockholm museums. I print cards from my scanned originals. From 2007-2018 I have been "Artist In Residence" with Cunard Cruise Ships - teaching passengers watercolor and drawing.
